I’m fairly certain these comments were directed toward me, so I’d like to address them.
To my knowledge, the repeater’s timeout timer is still set to one minute, which is simply not practical when trying to effectively direct a net. This has been an ongoing equipment issue, and I don’t believe it’s reasonable to criticize net control operations while expecting operators to work around problems that the trustee has yet to address.
I’m more than willing to have someone else take over my Sunday net control slot if my performance doesn’t meet your expectations. I volunteer my time to support the net, but I’m not interested in continually battling equipment limitations and then being criticized for the results.
If there are concerns about how I conduct the net, I’d appreciate them being addressed directly rather than indirectly.
