RAWNY will be operating Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, during Mess Call at the Buffalo Naval Park. We will be originating traffic for the sailors, sending radiograms home to their loved ones. We’ll bring the traffic to Friday and Saturday’s WDN session. Maybe 5-10 pieces each night, some could be local, but most likely will be outgoing.

July 17 & 18 is Mess Call at the Buffalo Naval Park! In partnership with the Military History Preservation Group, reenactors from across the United States will gather to bring USS The Sullivans and USS Little Rock to life. The ship’s company will conduct general quarters and gunnery drills on USS The Sullivans. Period-correct food will be prepared from the U.S. Navy cookbook in the galley of USS Little Rock. Visitors will also participate in hands-on activities, and learn about radio communications with the Radio Association of Western New York. This is an event history buffs and food fanatics alike will not want to miss!
Your ticket to Mess Call includes food samples and a front row seat to watch the ships come to life PLUS a self-guided tour of USS The Sullivans, USS Little Rock, USS Croaker, our Museum Building, and Gift Shop.
Mess Call at the Buffalo Naval Park will take place on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
