There’s
a rare opportunity to get your SkyWARN Certification as a
NOAA Weather Spotter & Reporter at:
Where:
Concord Senior Center,  40 Commerce Dr.,  Springville,
NY
When:
Thursday, April 16th at 7 pm.

SkyWARN
is an important way that the Buffalo NWS uses public WX
spotters to augment their weather reporting, especially
during extreme weatherevents like Tornados, Severe
Thunderstorms or Hail events, High Winds, Snow Storm
events, etc.
Sign
up to this in-person seminar and become a SkyWARN volunteer
or renew your current registration with the NWS Buffalo
Office.
See: www.weather.gov/buf/skywarn  to
register for this event.
To see
more virtual online seminar scheduled events, see the Spring
2026 Training Schedule on that page.
Also,
check out the local SkyWARN Ham Repeaters that are
registered with the NWS Buffalo Office for SkyWARN Reporting
here:
And
there’s a SkyWARN Repeater MAP for WNY here:  Western and Northern
New York HAM Repeater Frequencies
